hi everybody,
first let me state that I feel that this clothing clause in the law is absurd and outrageous.

On the other hand, as a liberal I'm for the rule of law. This law was passed by a majority of the parliment with the government voting for it as a compromise to get Mrs Noria and other women thei political rights and ultimately in the parliment. And compromise is the essence of statemanship.

So if the government lawyers/protocol people and majority of parlimentarians interpret it that Mrs. Noria have to cover her head, then she MUST do it to be a law abiding citizen and to fullfil her sworn duty to protect the law even if she despise it.

And for us, unless we get an elected majority to reverse the law,(not as we prefer to call ourselves silent/sleeping/whatever majority) we shouldn't scream (BLUE MURDER).

I hope that some liberal LAW and Contitutional law scholars can provide an interpretation of the law, and whether Mrs Noria need to do what is claimed she is gonna do. So we can use it as a legitimate argument and we don't just rely on newspaper columnists opinions.

How silly.

If you really want to implement laws and regulations, then enforce the restrictions on government school teachers who advertise so openly in the free classifieds every week like al-waseet and others.

We have SERIOUS problems in the public education sector and members of parliament worry about Nouriya covering her hair???

What about the teachers who are so burned out from all private tutorings till way past midnight they can't teach properly during the day?

What about teachers who accept gifts of money and other valuables from students so that they can pass them?

What about teachers who 'sell' copies of exams to students they tutor?

These teachers are raking in money from every desperate parent who wants their child to pass. These teachers do not even recycle this money back into the Kuwaiti economy. It goes abroad.

What values are we teaching our children from a young age?

No wonder. All they care about is the way things look like on the outside.

Inside, their minds are festering like a gangrenous boil.

Since this law that stipulates a female minister must wear a hijab is a complete contradiction of our constitution of freedom of religion etc, then this law must be rejected as it is obsolete and contradictive.
I think these corrupt hypocrytical islamo-fascists are being given too much power. There should be a clamp down on them, they go too far and over their limits.
To fight them, all the government must do is apply the constitution in it's entirety, and explain to these backward, beard growing, freaks, the meaning of freedom of religion. Kuwait is being turned into a saudi arabia. its getting dangerous, because people are not aware that these islamo-freaks are slowly eroding away our rights and liberties. Everything is being sensored now by these fascists. THIS IS BECAUSE THERE STRONGEST WEAPON IS IGNORANCE, AND THE SPREAD OF IT THROUGH OUT THE COUNTRY IN ORDER TO CONTROL EVERYBODY.
