No Way!

Looking back I don't see any offense given to the authorities by any of our discussions, so I would be rather surprised if the program as a whole was take off air simply for that episode. It must be something deeper, or as some suggested, a personality conflict. At least I hope it is.

This is such a shame, yet another censorship black marker on Arab media.

Outrageous, but I cant say Im surprised.

I dont watch KTV except for the occasional 6/6 program and I was really looking forward to the Shafeeq Ghabra episode on Blogging with you guys - indeed we were all very proud of you guys - it's very sad this is happening.

After reading the comments it seems like you all concluded that they canceled the program because of the subject, is there any evidence of that? Could it not be the presenter of the program Dr. Al Ghabra is a controversial personality and that was the reason, or god knows why

(kindly be informed this is not in defense of any the creative, educated, experienced officials of MOI)

When el7maidi first joined the ministry of public works, everyone in the ministry was optimistic since for a long time and after several ministers who joined, he was the only one who knew the profession and was not a stranger to the ministry?s atmosphere. He started right by questioning more than 100 contractor claims that cost millions of KD?s. He formed the technical and legal committee who were operating right under his supervision to look into those claims of which some went back to pre-invasion. The technical committee was like a dynamo working after hours to resolve those legal issues, and save the ministry a lot of money that was accumulating with time. But as soon as some projects were settled, a decree came out of his office releasing the committee from this duties and taking those files back to drawers where they were originally dusted out. And when the concerned assistant undersecretary asked him, why did he do that, his answer was :I don?t know.
But we all knew, that unsettled claims grow in cost value, and as one of the contractors ones told me, this is where we make the real money. They say (wa al3uhda 3ala alrawi) the pressure came directly from MP?s cause most were the direct beneficiaries.
His next move was to promote the director of Kuwait University Project Engineer HA to the post of Assistant undersecretary of his office., although everyone knows that she had failed in those projects and caused unnecessary delays and money loss, and more than one claim for that project is still in the ministry drawers.
This is just a brief about El7maidi for those who do not know him, and time will reveal the rest

I just wanted to say that I appreciate all your comments about the Diwaniya Program and we would really appreciate it if you would continue to support the program as there is a chance it could be put back in air... The blog episode in my opinion was one of the most interesting ones and hopefully we will get to see it on TV. However, the program was not stopped because of the topic, it was much deeper than that.
