Blog Hater

Actor Jared Leto hates blogs and wants them to "die a sudden death".

What do you think?

I meant to post my comment here hehe so whats the big deal? he hates blogs? Does it really matter? Its not like he's gonna stop people from blogging or anything? So let him hate whatever he wants...its just his opinion on things :) silly to even bother ourselves over this!

Like 'poiwer' before me, I don't give a flippin' rat's arse to who Jared Leto is, much less what his views on Blogs are, but somewhere within me I feel that blogging has done real harm to me.
On a personal level, I cannot make the time to read as much as I should have liked to, or to make newer "in-real-time" social contacts.
Most evenings after work are a struggle; pulling out those sneakers to walk the dog for about a half-hour in the park because a certain blog fairy is haunting every minute of my wakeful existence.

The last 10 years were about accessing information that was not readily available and the next 10 years are going to be about how well we make use of the xcess information at our disposal.
Blogs can be a useful metric to gauge that.
By encouraging a virtual dimension it would appear that rather than bringing people closer sometimes they are doing the exact opposite
cue: who has time any longer to talk, read, follow other hobbies and perhaps more importantly, to LISTEN?
