Playlist April 27 - May 3
I don't know what it is about Scandinavians and their gift for pure ear-candy melodies, going as far back as ABBA's pop masterpieces to The Cardigans, and even - what the hell - Roxette's cheesy hits. I've included some Nordic tunes to treat your ears to this weekend, along with some other stuff I found to make up for last week's missing list.
- Lorraine - I Feel It: An all-male band called Lorraine; must be some Nordic humour that I'm missing. But a killer sing-along chorus.
- Elin Sigvardsson - Where to Start: Scandinavian folk, should give US folkies a few lessons in melody.
- Tina Dico - In The Red: Beautiful yet weary voice, and the song just lingers well after it's done.
- Snow Patrol - You're All I Have: With Coldplay on hiatus, Snow Patrol fills the vacant position of "safe rock band with big sound". They'll do for now.
- Juanes - La Camisa Negra: This Colombian superstar as big as Shakira in his home country, and this is his first international hit.
- Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch: Dedicated to the Power Trio.
And this week's classic pick is the mindless rock smash My Sharona by one hit wonders The Knack.

Nice songs...Lorraine is pretty good actually.
I can't help but notice you mentioned Shakira as a "him". And I'm wondering, is it because of that mess of hair on her? ;)

The "him" refers to Juanes, not Shakira
